EZ8 Runners Testimonials

I did want to thank you for the June camp! I wanted to let you know that I RAN the entire Peachtree. My time was 1 hour and 13 minutes. It is not a stellar time but I was pleased considering I had no intention of running the entire thing. Without the techniques you trained me on during the month of June this would not have been possible.
Thanks again and I hope to be able to take your class again in the future.

Hope you had a great 4th! Just wanted to say thanks so much for the GREAT hill training!!! Shelley and I conquered Cardiac Hill with no problem. We were passing all those people who were walking!! We could hear you in our heads every step of the way, “Lean forward, don’t look at the top of the hill, use those arms, the hill is your friend!!” It was a great, low humidity, perfect July 4th day!
Seriously, I can really see the results of your training. My endurance and strength have greatly improved. Look forward to seeing you for camp in August!

I love this camp! I have only been running for about 10 months. I just wish I had learned about this camp sooner. Sherry was great at instructing me on form and injury prevention. I improved my one mile run performance by 44 seconds in less than 4 weeks! I love her enthusiasm and the continuous instruction she provides throughout the runs. What I learned is this camp will help me prevent injuries, improve my speed, and increase my endurance. I loved it so much, I signed up for a second month! And did I say that I am not a morning person? But waking up to work on running, which is the one thing I do for me, has not been a problem!

I really enjoyed the camp. The running form information was great. Sherry is a great coach and very pleasant to be around.

Really enjoyed the camp - signed up for next month! Had originally planned on running a half marathon prior to the camp and then immediately afterwards. That didn't work out due to being closed out of a race and other scheduling conflicts. Although my plan did hold up, I feel I have really benefitted from the camp. If I could just hold my arms correctly! I like the time of the camp. I like the ongoing info given to us and love it when we work really hard. Thanks.

Camp was great ! It was very informative and Sherry is very nice and helpful. I will certainly sign up again in the near future. Thanks, Dan

This camp was a blessing and a curse at the same time. I really enjoyed the running technique classes and the speed training classes. I found the hill training very helpful. Most of the curse came, because I was training for a half marathon at the same time. It's really difficult to train for one thing in the morning and another in the afternoon. Overall the class was really great and Sherry is a great teacher! I learned a lot and had a good time!

This camp is great! I am coming back from a shoulder surgery and had to miss a few camps, but Sherry was great about working around my injury and making sure that I was still getting a great workout. I would recommend this camp to anyone!

I started the EZ8 running camp in November, 2008. I knew I needed to really increase my cardio workouts, but mostly I wanted to be involved in a sport again! I started this camp barely being able to run one mile! I was very nervous that I wouldn’t be able to keep up and that I would be a laughing stock.
I made it through the first one mile run test in about 12 minutes. Yep, I was the last one, but I received such incredible encouragement from Sherry and the other campers that being last wasn’t a big deal!
I improved greatly during that first camp and finished my first race in just over thirty minutes. I continued signing up for camp every month. It was also very nice to see the numbers on the scale decrease!
A year later I have just completed my first half marathon and I have lost twenty pounds in the process! At this time I’m working on increasing my speed in races and trying to decide which marathon I would like to begin training for!
I would like to thank Sherry Shelton for all of her wonderful training and encouragement. Also thanks to all of the EZ8 campers! We all pitch in to keep each other motivated!
Don’t be afraid to try this camp! You will improve your health and confidence, and possibly find a sport that you really enjoy and can do anywhere!

I have thorougly enjoyed the camp. As I have not been a consistent runner I've alway had the urge to be a better runner. Skills, form, techniques I have found are so much more important than one may think. I've learned so much and feel better about running as a whole. I'm encouraged and optimistic that my goal of a half marathon is within sight.
Thanks Sherry!

Just wanted to commend Sherry on making the 6 week running camp fun, fit, and
fabulous! I had a lot of fun learning how to improve my running form speed. Great job!

I did Clyde's Run!!! It was great. They did not time us, but I think I finished in the top 10 women
and top 20 overall. I can't begin to tell you how hilly it was. Oh my. Even you would have been
impressed with that workout. I have you to thank 100%. It took me 33 years to get up the courage
to be a runner and try a race, but I did it with your help. Just like your
Boot Camp, life changing.
My goal is to do a few more 5Ks and then jump to 10K. Thank you again. My average heart rate was 190 and
max was 200. (It was the CONTINUAL hills!) ...I hate to miss tomorrow. I really am just
having a blast and I love it!...Thank you for everything and see you Monday!

I just wanted to write in to say what a good experience I had during the 2 months of boot camp
that I went through last year before my June wedding. Now I'm expecting so I really can't jump back
in to boot camp. I just wanted to write and say that I am so excited to get back to you all next fall
after the baby. Sherri is awesome BTW. I hope she will still be running camps then. :)

Just wanted to provide you with some feedback on camp. I have had such a rewarding experience training
with you over the past year. When I began last March, I could only run one to two miles before taking a
walking break and now I am running 10k’s on a regular basis. Not only have my running skills improved
(i.e. speed, endurance, etc), I have lost weight and my legs are more toned and defined. Also, your
nutritional and injury prevention advice has been very beneficial. I also sincerely appreciate you keeping
me motivated over the past year - life happens to all of us and it’s much easier to skip exercising and get
stuck in a rut, but your energetic and positive attitude along with your encouragement helped me to stick
with my new hobby and I’m so much happier for it - can’t thank you enough!!
